Pros of Realme 9i

Pros:

1. Processor:

Should You Buy Realme 9i

Realme 9i comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 680, and this processor is 6 NM technology-based. This is the first phone which comes with this processor. As we discussed above this processor has a positive side and a negative side as well.

So, the positive or pro side is, that this processor is based on 6 NM technology. Because of this processor is very power efficient and battery efficient. We saw Mediatek Helio G96 in Realme 8i and G96 was based on 12 NM technology. And that was not power efficient.

You can do day-to-day tasks easily with this phone. But, it also has a downside which we will discuss on the cons side, so keep reading.

2. Storage type:

This phone comes with UFS 2.2 storage type and LPDDR4X RAM. The Realme 8i had UFS 2.1 storage type, so we can say that in the storage section it is a slight upgrade.

3. Charger:

Should You Buy Realme 9i      Should You Buy Realme 9i

Realme 9i comes with a 33 W charger out of the box, and it also supports 33 W charging. Whereas Realme 8i had an 18 W fast charger. And again on the charing side is also an upgrade.

And we can see a 5000 mAh battery in this phone, and this is the same battery that we saw in the Realme 8i. There is no upgrade or downgrade on the battery side.

You can charge this big battery in 1 hour approx with the 33 W fast charger, Which was claimed by Realme.

Cons:

1. Processor:

We saw how power-efficient and battery-efficient the Snapdragon 680 is, in the pros section. But, the main and the biggest reason for being in the cons section is, that this is not a powerful processor. And you can say this is the biggest downgrade of this smartphone.

No doubt this is a power and battery-efficient processor, but it is not suitable for gaming and multitasking. If we look at the Antutu benchmark score for Helio G96 which we saw in Realme 8i is more than 3,40,000 but the Snapdragon 680 scored 2,76,000 in the Antutu benchmark. And this is not a gaming processor.

You can play online multiplayer games like PUBG mobile, COD mobile, and Free-fire. But, you have to play these games in lower or medium settings. If you try to play games in higher settings then you can face battery issues and overheating issues in your Realme 9i might be.

And this becomes the downgrade of Realme 9i. we can see a better processor in the price segment of RS. 14,000 /- to RS. 16,000 /-. Here also you can get a little hint that should you buy Realme 9i.

2. Refresh Rate:

Again this is also a downgrade of this phone. Realme 9i comes with a 90 Hz refresh rate display. In this price range, we can see a 120 Hz refresh rate display on other phones. Even in other Realme phones also. But the reason for the 90 Hz display is its processor.

Snapdragon 680 can only support 90 Hz screen refresh rate max, that’s why the screen refresh rate is not 120. This processor affects many things. And this phone also comes with 180 touch sampling rate.

Realme 9i comes with a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display, then a 120 Hz refresh panel should be there. But, they did this.

3. Camera:

Should You Buy Realme 9i

Realme 9i comes with a (50+2+2) Megapixels triple camera setup. Where 50 Megapixels is a primary sensor + 2 megapixels is a depth sensor and another 2 megapixels is a Marco lens. And there is no ultra-wide camera on this phone.

Although in Realme phones, we can see great cameras, that is not in the case of Realme 9i. The 50 Megapixel camera is not a great camera at all. The sensor is not a good sensor at all.

Usually, color reproduction, color balance, dynamic range, sharpness, and quality of the Realme phone are good. But not with this phone. All of these things are missing from this phone.

And the main thing the ultra-wide camera is missing in this phone is they could remove the macro camera from it and could put the ultra-wide lens on it. But, they didn’t do it.

4. Bloatware:

Even in 2022, we can see bloatware on phones. Sorry! In Realme 9i. I mean seriously, on this phone you can you too many pre-installed apps. You can remove those apps from your phone though, but why do they do this.

When Realme had Colour OS, then we used to see pre-installed apps, but when Realme launch their own OS, there was no bloatware on phones. But, in this smartphone, we can see bloatware. And this is also a con of this phone.

5. 4G:

In this price segment, there are many phones which are come with 5G, even under 14,000 /-. But, here we can see 4G phones. The majority of users want a 5G phone.

Verdict:

Well, here we have shared some pros and cons of Realme 9i. There are so many negative points of this phone, so many downgrades from Realme 8i. Many Realme users and non-Realme users are expecting that this phone will be the game-changer, but if we look at the specifications, everyone is disappointed. Now, you have to decide that is this phone is suitable for you and should you buy a Realme 9i.
